BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injected chemical which helps eliminate facial lines without surgery. It is usually placed in areas such as crow's feet, forehead worry lines and the lines seen between the eyebrows over the nose. It is important to try to eliminate these types of lines because they are frequently misinterpreted by other people are fear, aging, anger or fatigue.
What is BOTOX ® Cosmetic?
BOTOX ® Cosmetic is a purified, naturally occurring chemical that prevents over-activity of human muscles. This decreased muscular activity allows facial wrinkles to disappear. BOTOX ® Cosmetic is not effective for all facial lines, just those related to muscle action. However its effect can magically give your skin a smooth, youthful appearance.
How is it placed?
BOTOX ® Cosmetic is placed in the problem areas through a series of injections. This is performed in my office. The effects of the chemical will take effect within 48hrs to 2 weeks. It is a temporary effect however. It will need to be repeated in 3 to 6 months.
Can BOTOX ® Cosmetic be used for anything else?
Yes. BOTOX ® Cosmetic can also be used with great effectiveness on people who sweat excessively. It is best used for excessive armpit and palm sweating.
